VAC-U-MAX specializes in design and manufacture of pneumatic conveying systems and support equipment for conveying, weighing and batching of dry materials. An equally important activity is design and manufacture of heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaners, ranging from small air and electric powered drum styled units to large electric and diesel powered units.

Features

STANDARD EQUIPMENT:

  • 36” diameter filter housing for low “can velocity”, with radial inlet and internal deflector to direct incoming materials into collection hopper.
  • Nineteen (19) PTFE high efficiency pleated bag filters rated 99.9% efficient @ 1 micron particle size with 228 square feet of filter area (air-to-cloth ratio of 2.1 to 1 based on 500 CFM. Accessible for maintenance or inspection from two convenient hinged side access doors with captive hardware.
  • Continuous pulse filter cleaning with adjustable timing. Includes two off-line cleaning cycles when vacuum is shut down.
  • NEMA 4 control panel enclosure with master power disconnect, magnetic motor starter with thermal overload protection, micro-PLC controller for pulse filter cleaning and high level probe. Includes MMI touch pad for start / stop and warning alarms.
  • Continuous-duty vacuum producer: positive-displacement (rotary-lobe) vacuum pump, low-speed operation for long service life and low noise levels. Airflow remains constant despite variations in demand in vacuum system. Pump is belt-driven by an 1,800 RPM by a TEFC continuous-duty motor. Includes OSHA-approved belt guard and exhaust silencer.
  • Secondary safety filter located ahead of vacuum pump, removable without tools.
  • Vacuum relief valve and liquid-filled vacuum gauge.
  • No-Flow Valve Assembly: allows vacuum system to operate continuously, even when all inlets may be closed. Includes NEMA 4 control panel with high and low vacuum switches, automatic pneumatic valve with pressure regulator / gauge package. Mounted on inlet to vacuum producer, requires 110v / 1-ph electricity and 1/4” compressed air supply. Includes adjustable slide valve on air intake to allow fine adjustment based on pressure drop in tubing network.
  • Collection container: 2 cubic yard (50+ cubic ft.) capacity, self-dump style, reinforced for 16” Hg (220” H2O) vacuum.
  • 5000 lb. capacity pallet jack for raising and lowering the collection container. A large gasketed discharge plenum allows for misalignment of the hopper.
  • High-level probe, radio-frequency type, with adjustable sensitivity, includes automatic vacuum shut-down and indicator light on control panel.
  • Carbon steel construction with blue epoxy finish
