Vac-U-Max combines modern electronic technology
with innovative mechanical and pneumatic design to produce handling
systems that not only free operators of physical effort but also perform
sophisticated operations with little human assistance. The system
at right and directly below conveys three different ingredients from
the drums to the weigh hopper and automatically batches them to precise
weights, in various preprogrammed formulations. They are then automatically
discharged into a surge hopper and adapter spout which can be rotated
to load any of the three mixing tanks. The microprocessor-based control
panel in foreground below provides the flexibility to add, change
or delete formulations as required. Vacuum is provided by the positive
displacement pump which is protected from any possible carryover of
fines by the floor-standing, self-unloading filter/separator.
